Counseling with Compassion

Aloha,

Compassion, meaning empathy in action, guides my counseling practice. This expression of unconditional positive regard is important in life and in the therapeutic relationship since it helps to facilitate relief from suffering, to promote feelings of acceptance, and for change to occur.

I am currently offering online therapy by donation, with immediate availability, as a pre-licensed professional counselor.
This means that you pay only what you can afford for therapy.

Since the counseling relationship involves vulnerability and acceptance, it is important to find a “right fit” counselor. I will work to understand you and collaborate with you to help you reach your goals, and move into a space where you feel greater empowerment, self-efficacy, and hope. I look forward to meeting with you to help you access your gifts and resources in order to navigate life challenges successfully. My approach is informed by solution-focused and narrative therapies, cognitive behavior therapy, mindfulness practices, and dialectical thinking.

Mission

To encourage breath that clears the cobwebs, offer a mirror that holds loving space for the shadows and helps to expand the gifts and beauty of each client in uplifting and inspirational space filled with unconditional positive regard.
